Content market started on Wednesday, September 26 in KazMedia Center as part of Astana Media Week. Participating in the exhibition are 15 TV companies, more than 50 production studios, and other industry players. Attendees are sharing their projects and discussing topical issues of Kazakhstani media industry.
In speaking at the opening ceremony of Astana Media Week, Minister of Information and Communications Dauren Abayev pointed out the media’s importance for contemporary Kazakhstan’s society.
“Your ideas not only change every day the information landscape, but also give impulse to processes in a variety of sectors: from policy to finance, from agriculture to sports. Against this background, the essentiality of broad discussion of challenges, of working out the specific decisions and the mechanisms for further work is greatly increasing. It is for this purpose that Astana Media Week gathers not only journalists and government agencies’ representatives, but also PR community, as well as international experts”, D.Abayev said.
Minister noted that at last year’s Astana Media Week the domestic TV channels discovered a lot of new interesting projects, and he expressed the hope that AMW would become a traditional event for the professional community.
Content Market is an efficient platform for dialogue among media content customers, large TV and radio companies and the private production market parties, such as production studios, creative teams, and production centers, author’s projects in the field of information, media entertainment, music and cinema.
Also, the professional and open pitching are held today where the professionals are presenting the draft TV, Web and other media products that are to be implemented. The attendees will discuss the industry’s essential issues at the non-formal “Occupations of the Future” Media Talks.
Astana Media Week will last till 28 September. Participating in it are over 2000 guests, 60 top managers of media industry of Kazakhstan and abroad, 15 domestic channels and over 50 production companies. As part of the event, there will be master classes and panel discussions on most topical subjects of contemporary media market development, the Regional Mass Media Forum, and Astana Digital Forum with international experts participating.
