Drivers will be able to take preliminary testing on traffic rules in the specialized Citizen Service Centers.
According to Galym Nurgaziyev, Deputy Chairman of “Government for Citizens” Public Corporation, checking one’s knowledge before the exam is now possible in the specialized Citizen Service Centers. Public Corporation has launched the project for preliminary testing in traffic rules. From now on, any person may test his/her knowledge of traffic rules before taking the exam. Such service in specialized CSCs is fee-based. To Astana and Almaty citizens, the cost will be KZT 700, while to citizens in regions’ centers – KZT 500, G.Nurgaziyev says.
To be issued driver’s license, an applicant must pass two exams: theoretical one consisting of 40 questions, and practical one that includes 12 exercises on the testing track. Each applicant can try to pass the exam up to three times. In the event that all three attempts are unsuccessful, the applicant shall be allowed to take the exam again in six months after the latest one.
By the way, the prospective drivers may also test their practical driving skills at the intellectual testing track. The fee-based service: “Pre-exam preparing for practical exam on automated electronic ground” is accessible for citizens 7 days a week.
Amendments facilitating the procedures for obtaining driver‘s licenses were made also to the Order on endorsement of rules for registration and recording of vehicles in early June this year. According to the new rules, getting driver’s licenses of “A” and “B” categories, as well as “А1” and “В1” sub-categories, may be obtained without training in driver training centers.
Currently, the fee-based services are provided in 10 specialized citizen service centers: in Astana, Almaty, Karaganda, Taraz, Aktau, Petropavlovsk, Kyzylorda, Taldykorgan, Kostanai, and Aktobe. Since the year-beginning, over 5 thousand Kazakhstanis have used the services of driving at the automated testing track.
