Over 300 new datasets have been published on the Open Data portal of Kazakhstan since early this month.
The portal visitors can now view the current information provided by National Bank, Ministry of national Economy, Ministry of Internal Affairs, as well as by akimats of Almaty, South Kazakhstan, Karaganda, East Kazakhstan, and Kostanai regions and by other central and local government agencies.
Specifically, National Bank has posted such information as the consolidated report on profit and loss with breakdown by entities that manage investment portfolios; the data on loans issued by banks with breakdown by the economy sectors and by regions, etc.
South Kazakhstan region, inter alia, has provided information on property legalization in the region, while Karaganda region akimat – the data on vacancies in Akim’s Administration. In total, about 1000 various datasets are accessible on data.egov.kz today.
For reference: Open Data is one of the components in Open Government which is being introduced in Kazakhstan as part of implementing the Nation Plan – 100 Concrete Steps for Implementation of Five Institutional Reforms by Head of State N.Nazarbayev. On the Open Data portal, the government agencies’ datasets are posted, which may be used for further re-publication with no limitations as to copyright, patents and any other control mechanisms.
